This is a part of Mr B's conversation with someone he met ( someone could be considered as veteran) at a gym today:
The man: where do you work?
B: at a local company.
The man: as a?
B: looking after the whole operation (of the company)
The man: oh, then, I know what is your biggest difficulty...human, right?
That statement made Mr B laugh...
Well, he told me about this conversation while we were having a really nice coffee at Dr Cafe, tonight.
And, I could totally agree with that.
The most challenging part of managing an organisation is indeed, managing the human.
We could control a robot or machine. Robot or machine will only operate what has been programmed to them.
But, we can not program human.
So, yes I am totally agree with that.
If the nature of our work involves human, then to be succeeded in doing the job is to know how to operate the human in a human way ( not in a robot way :)
(or accept the fact that we shouldn't do the job at all.)
I realize that my biggest weakness is, I tend to get emotional when dealing with human.
I would always trying to satisfy others.
While in doing so, I always felt hopeless when things did not work out as I thought it should be.
And I always ended up getting frustrated and less self-motivated.
May be I need to look at things in a bigger scenario - it is impossible to satisfy everybody.
It is impossible because I am a human and so are they.
